ORANGES ON BLACK
BREAKFAST BOWLHere are a couple of "orange slice" paintings . . . I mentioned the other day about mixing orange . . . don't like how I did it here . . . but have found while the lemon yellow w/cad red doesn't work well cad red and cad yellow are really rich . . . however for an overall yellow . . . if I minimize my palette to just one yellow I am going back to hansa yellow . . . even though I found it difficult to use in landscape painting last year . . .I think I have a better handle on how to create greens with in now . . . and really think it's going to work out as the best all around yellow . . . we'll see . . . as coming up soon are some orange slices I did w/ the hansa yellow mixtures . . . until then . . .
