de ja vue

DOCK ROCKS
MAKE THE CLOUDS GO AWAY
DE JA VUE
Bottom painting in the one I did for a "Quick Draw" Auction in June based on the painting MAKE THE CLOUDS GO AWAY which I also did in June . . . Ironically the same people that bought DOCK ROCKS in August had bought DE JA VUE . . . unfortunately it got smudged and scratched . . . obviously because it was "wet" . . . so when I delivered DOCK ROCKS I got DE JA VUE back . . .and WAH LA! I fixed it today! . . . and will deliver it back to them next week . . . not a very exciting project but that was the extent of my painting today . . .Enjoy!

ANOTHER ONE

EGG TEMPERA IN PROGRESS

UGH EGG!

FIRST TEMPERA
Some of the new supplies I purchased included a set of egg tempera paints . . . here is a little 4x6 study I did with them. . . it is a very slow tedious process . . . and I went too fast on this one as you need to let each layer dry and add the next very carefully . . . like watercolor but much harder . . . it is extremely easy to damage the layers underneath . . . probably not something I'll stick with but worth a try . . . Enjoy!

A LITTLE MORE RED!

ANOTHER RED UNDER PAINTING STUDY
Got a little heavy handed with this towards the end . . .it is amazing how much the red under painting changes the colors . . . I used my "regular" palette but all the colors look different and like I said yesterday the dark values pop right up . . .Enjoy . . . NFS!
